ZachTheZip
The second release of the RPI info should be happening within a few hours. Last time, I was shocked to see Northwestern on top. They have since lost a game, but should be somewhere around #4. But enough about the only Big Ten team afraid to schedule us. Akron should be #1 this time. I am also hoping for an improvement from the other MAC teams. Playing NIU and hartwick in the tournament could boost our RPI even higher above the crowd if they do well. There is only one more RPI release after this one. It comes out 2 weeks from today, and will be a major factor for seeding the NCAA tournament.

ZachTheZip
The games game against Virginia Tech and especially Buffalo hurt our SOS.Penn State is 16, and Michigan State is 23, so those should boost us. Hartwick is 61, which will probably hurt, though. The MAC scheduling is catching up to us.
g-mann17
OK, but the link you have just goes right back to the 10/12 RPI list.
GoZips
Once again the NCAA is making sure that they and not the teams control the seeding.Wake Forest at number one with two home loses. Who did they lose to? The top team inthe MLS and a European professional team? This scenario is not who you beat. Its, who did you play. Winning does not matter.Louisville is clear down at forty-forth. Few teams ranked ahead of them could beat them.We may gain a little ground by winning out. Hartwick hurt us by tieing lowly Bowling Green. One soccer site predicted that five of the seven Big Ten teams would make the field. Perhapsour RPI would improve if we beat a Big Ten team or two or three or four or five.
MDZip
Penn State is at #16..should be a fun match up indeed. And Michigan St is at #23. Those two games should help in the RPI column (plus even Hartwick is at 61) so if we take care of business we'll be fine. Buffalo is at 175, that's likely what kept us out of the top two spots since UCLA and Wake played some difficult in conference rivals and were ranked below us last week. Go Zips! g-mann17
Hmm, apparently losing to Washington is better than beating everyone you've played all season
vmd9
Akron soccer = Boise State footballThe Zips schedule a lot of good teams and beat them. We've beaten teams from both the Big10 and ACC, while Boise State has weak schedules with one BCS school a year! This year they played Oregon, the rest of the Broncos schedule is a joke really. ZachTheZip
Akron soccer = Boise State footballMore like Akron Soccer = Gonzaga BasketballGreat team that might be good enough to overcome a poor conference that holds them back. Z.I.P.
Akron soccer = Boise State footballUmmmmm. More like Akron soccer = Florida football + Alabama football + North Carolina basketball + UCLA waterpolo. Get it?
RootforRoo44
Akron soccer = Boise State footballUmmmmm. More like Akron soccer = Florida football + Alabama football + North Carolina basketball + UCLA waterpolo. Get it? exactly. It's only a matter of time before the respect starts coming. The RPI is not bias, we just play in a crappy conference. That will eventually change and regardless it hasn't affected recruiting. Let's just win that first national championship and then we can complain about not getting respect.
ZachTheZip
UCLA just lost 1-0 to Creighton (RPI #53). Additionally, Wake Forest lost 1-0 to Boston College (RPI #29) yesterday. That, combined with our win over Penn State, should put Akron back on top. While I think that should be enough too, I just wouldn't bet the house on it.

RPI does not matter though, if the season ended today, we would be the number one seed. It only matters for at-large bids.
