GP1 Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 Interesting read on the internet about Tim Donaghy's new book called Blowing The Whistle. If only half of this is true, it is pretty bad.Let's make this a MAC topic since this is a Zips board. MAC refs leave a lot to be disired. Are they purposefully bad as NBA refs are at times or are they just plain bad? What do you think about the excerpts from the book? Quote
Dr Z Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 The excerpts don't seem that revealing to me? "When star players have two fouls on them, the next one has to be obvious"....ooooooo real revealing?!? Tim Donaghy seems like a dude I wouldn't hang around. I question anything he had his writer write for him due to his questionable scummy past. I hope nobody buys this rag.A lot of basketball fouls seem up to ones interpretation of the rule to me. They seem worse in the MAC, but I get tired of reading "we got screwed by the ref" posts.I also HATE to see players turn to the ref after they miss a shot and "look" for a foul..(LBJ & Romeo).PS Due to your (GP1) suggestion I picked up a copy of 'The Blind Side' for my Thanksgiving reading. I better like it. Quote
