ZipAnalyst
As we all "painfully" know, the Zips were 3 (W) and 9 (L) this year. All the 3 and 9 Zip players were recruited by the Brookhart regime. Should Zip fans be all that concerned about the 2010 Brookhart recruits that are vacillating already on their verbals? Is the new coach duty-bound to accept Brookhart recruits?
zen
Wow, you'd think a NCAA coach never got let-go before.
zip37
The offers from the Univ stand, the option lies with the player. If they choose not to come I'm not concerned, the incoming coach will likely bring some of his 'verbals' with him. Players, for the most part, sign for the coach, not the school. I think the players are good and just need a new coach.I'm only concerned if a player is a top notch talent. If the player is a dog or easily replaced by another, I'm not concerned. The Zips will be fine. I'm not looking down the road any further than next year. The expectation should be for a coach to come in and win right away. Next year the coach will have "his team". Calling it anything other than "his team" is already making excuses for losing.
