xu9697
I hope D'Orazio stays on, but I question whether to 2 guys we have coming in and Rodgers match what our new coach will look for. Rodgers could DEFINITELY be a candidate for a possesion receiver type.It really depends on whether D'Orazio thinks he can play in more of an I-formation, pro-style offense and/or if he is willing to play other positions (safety comes to mind!).But I think we need to add 1 pro-style QB in this recruiting class based on the comments of the type of O Ianello wants to run. ZachTheZip
D'Orazio is coming to Akron with the understanding that he'll be playing Safety. That could change, but I think we need his athleticism on defense more than we do as a backup QB. Assuming he still wants to attend UA, that is. If Grand Valley State comes into the picture, we can kiss Zach good bye.
skip-zip
I'd love to get a big suprise, like we did when JD took over, and get late QB and RB transfers like Getsy and Biggs. What a jackpot that ended up being for us.
zipsfan111
I heard Potts is a very good athlete also if QB doesnt work out. I have seen him run in track and this kid has some really good speed to him.

g-mann17
we still have Nicely right?Yes, and I would think "similar offense to Notre Dame" would be enough to keep him considering Clausen's stats...Jimmy Clausen Notre Dame attempts: 425 completeions: 289 yards: 3722 yards/attempt: 8.8 yds/game: 310.2 TD: 28 We still need backs ups, we only Rodgers and Wackerly and Potts if he keeps his verbal
xu9697
After looking many things over:Jerry Lovelocke seems to be the best QB available that has or has had an Akron offer(obviously with JD). http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recr...Lovelocke-85414http://insider.espn.go.com/ncf/recruiting/...cruitId%3d70572http://hsmaryland.scout.com/a.z?s=394&...amp;nid=4423673Going with more of a traditional passing game/offense, I think this kid would be even MORE inclined to come here. He is a passer, not a runner.
eguins
D'Orazio is a damn good quarterback, but only out of the option. Ursuline made adjustments at half and absolutely shut the guy down when they tried to pass the ball.
Big Zip
Please D'Orazio was a one man show Cuyahoga Heights if you could stop him you could stop them. He did play safety all season and was pretty darn good at that position when I saw him a few times this year. I'm still looking forward to watchin D'Orazio play defense for the Zips.
