UA Fan Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 The first game was over by 7:20 but it takes a little while to empty out all that ACC riff-raff and let in the good people of Akron Quote
zen Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 The first game was over by 7:20 but it takes a little while to empty out all that ACC riff-raff and let in the good people of Akron I saw lots of akron fans in the first game. Quote
Dr Z Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 So I try to watch my first soccer game on tv. I figure I'll DVR it and watch it this morning. I recorded an extra half hour just in case.I watch two and a half hours of 0-0 kicking of the soccer ball and only get to about 2 minutes left in the game before my recording ends.I guess I'll blame this on my ignorance, but that was a waste of about an hour of my life that I'll never get back. He couldn't find The U on Time Warner on the far west side of Cleveland. Quote

I went to watch the ending again and they had already switched over to a football game. I think it was before the 2.5 hours or so that the actual game took. Quote

Z.I.P. Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 They did an edited version for today.I'm amazed no one over there remarked about what happened to me -- in the middle of the second overtime, I think, ESPNU suddenly, without warning switched to professional bull wrestling (or whatever the heck it's called -- I don't tune to Versus that often!). I just switched back to the Deuce, and the game was over there -- but I knew people would scream bloody murder. Quote
GoZips Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 Watching the replay (sic: recap, crunched version) I was pleased that literally all the backgroundsounds were the AK-Rowdies chanting Zips cheers. Warmed the cockles of my demented heart. Quote
