Dambrot quote was hilarious. When he mention "we have to compete no matter if it's the MAC, VCU, Lady of the Elms, or the Jewish Center."Frenchie said "did you try to schedule the Jewish Center?"Dambrot said "Fans might think that" while he laughed as he said that last quote...
But in the back of his mind, Keith wanted to reply, "Well, I'm trying to find a good Jewish center, to complement Zeke". ;)

I think the "Crapped Down Their Leg" tag line can be put to rest for the remainder of the 2009-10 season. In succession -- Won a tight game AT Ball StateWon a tight game AT Central MichiganWon an OT game vs. OUWon a tight game AT MiamiVery impressive win streak for the Zippers. We are starting to peak at the right time.VCU is critical to us remaining on a roll. For Mid-major recognition, and for our own confidence going into the Buffalo and K.e.n.t. games.
I'm uncertain whether it will apply for the remainder of the season, but it does not appear it was applicable for the games you listed.

The only thing that concerns me a little bit right now is whether all of these close wins might be masking some problems for us. I'm not sure what those problems would be, but personally I felt like the only one of the last 4 that should have been close was Miami. Maybe you can argue Ohio or, based on the way they had been playing, Ball State, but I still feel like we should have been the superior team to those guys. I felt like we should have had at least 2 blowouts over these last four. Maybe I just got a bit pampered by some of our earlier results. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing us win tight games, but you have to admit that any regression from this team would mean that we would be losing these close games. Not a lot of margin for error.
I'm sick of this team crapping down their leg and...What? They won their last 5, including 4 close games? Well then...I'm sick of Steve McNees running the point. He stinks and he's killing us...What? 5 Rebounds, 5 Assists, a steal, 6 points and only 1 TO against Miami? Well, I'm sure he had other turnovers that didn't make the box score, but how about...Our schedule stinks! It doesn't prepare us to play in the MAC! We need a schedule like Miami...What? We're tied for the best record in the MAC, and we beat Miami twice? Damn! There's gotta be something...I got it!We're not winning by enough. These close wins are masking our problems. I don't know what those problems are, but they're obviously there...
