jem101 Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 Here's my BIGGEST HOPE: Zips on Fox Soccer Channel in 2010! Hopefully either the UNC or Wake Forest games early on in the season. I also remember hearing somewhere about the Tulsa game being on ESPNU. Quote

ZachTheZip Posted July 2, 2010 Report Posted July 2, 2010 So from what I gather, the old bleachers will be moved to be behind the goals. The east bleachers will be on top of the grass hill, on a concrete slab that's been place there. Quote

Plus more distractions and noise Quote
ZachTheZip Posted July 4, 2010 Report Posted July 4, 2010 So from what I gather, the old bleachers will be moved to be behind the goals. The east bleachers will be on top of the grass hill, on a concrete slab that's been place there. thats actually pretty genius. More seating behind the goals so spectators can see over the rowdies. Plus more distractions and noise I wonder about seeing over the Rowdies. Maybe on low-attendance nights it won't be a problem, but at a sellout the standing students will fill the entire hill which makes the first few rows of bleachers pretty useless. Light poles should be going up soon. Can't wait to see how much of an upgrade it is over the old "temporary" lights that became permanent. Quote
soccerbirdie16 Posted July 4, 2010 Report Posted July 4, 2010 Hi Zips soccer fans, I was on campus today and have a few pics to share. I had to shrink them to get them to fit on ZN - hope they turn out: Graded area behind east goal, concrete slab for bleachers (?) Graded area up to team benches Team Benches Raised Pitch More to follow..... Quote
soccerbirdie16 Posted July 4, 2010 Report Posted July 4, 2010 ZN won't allow to to post any more...I've used up all my space. Sorry!! Quote
soccerbirdie16 Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 No problem! Looked like the scoreboard will be behind west goal/end line (nearest shrank) with maybe another paved area for bleachers.... The team benches are on the opposite side of the field than what the plans show - there must be a newer/different set of plans??? Quote
zip37 Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 The pressbox is kaput, anf Luccho Cranes are at the north end of LJF, maybe lite poles? Quote

If you create a user Gallery here (look for the tab upper right), you can upload as many photos as you wish. The limit is a database size restriction thing. No limits apply in the Gallery. Let me know if you have any problems. FYI, the batch upload for Gallery takes about 2M at a time without choking. Go Zips! ZW Quote
