Dave in Green Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 EA is still writing stories about Zips basketball, with the latest focusing on next season. Cleveland.com Link Quote
Dr Z Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 Hmmmmm PG for next year? EA must be reading ZN. While true, this line will make KD see red when he reads it. Watch out EA! While the schedule was set up to deliver 20 wins, the Zips failed nearly every big-game test along the way. Quote
skip-zip Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 Hard to argue about anything there. The starting lineup seems like a no-brainer, expect for the possibility that Darryl could go back to being a starter again. Note: An article about Ken+'s future was in the ABJ yesterday. Quote

I think we might need a little media-applied external pressure put on the program in order for us to be dead serious about our need to ratchet things up a little bit. Thanks Elton! Quote
Quickzips Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 Not a whole lot of information here. His projected starting backcourt is almost assuredly wrong. Even if Humpty is still around, and presuming we don't bring in a JUCO, Dambrot has committed himself to riding McNees as the starting PG. I don't see that changing at this point. Brett, Nikola and Zeke are a good bet to start up front though. Probably the best thing from the article: More than anything, the Zips need to back up their swagger with tougher scheduling and get the wins to match. Quote

I was referring to the personnel on the floor when I said the starting lineup was pretty obvious for next year. Not necessarily the positions. Steve will be the PG. I think KD really trusts him to run the team out there, and he'll be in his 5th year with the program. Humpty will be the starter at the SG, unless Darryl wins back that spot. I'm not crazy about it, but it's what we have right now. I'll be shocked if the stating front court has anyone other than who he mentions. I know KD is going to be looking for some different skills in the backcourt, and it will be welcomed. But, I don't see an immediate transition away from having his most experienced players in the starting lineup. Quote
