mollautt
=>Just read on Yappi that Storm Sanders has committed to Akron. http://www.yappi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=207909
ZachTheZip
And I just read on Zipsnation that there's something called Yappi. Class of 2010. He must be walking on unless we had a decommit. He would be our second walk-on in 2010 next to Darrell Blanton.
zip37
Who is Storm Sanders? Remember Ennis threw the door open to other programs early this summer.
RowdyZip
Who is Storm Sanders? Remember Ennis threw the door open to other programs early this summer. I believe Ennis is a 2011 recruit...Sanders is a 2010 PG prospect. So Zach is right...unless there was another decommit, i'm not sure where the scholarship is coming from. Someone on Yappi doesn't have a clue, they think he's taking Humpty's spot.
AK-Rowdy4Life
Who is Storm Sanders? Remember Ennis threw the door open to other programs early this summer. I believe he is from GlenOak. He started as a freshman there when Koufos was a senior, if I'm not mistaken. Very skilled and physically mature. I don't know much about his mental attitude. I'm glad he caught Dambrot's attention, and I think he will be a nice asset to the team.
Quickzips
Just taking a wild guess out of left field with no first hand information here. Maybe another greyshirt for 2011? We've already got one greyshirt in forward Nick Harney from Benedictine, maybe the writing is on the wall for Ennis going elsewhere and KD is covering his bases by having Sanders waiting in the wings. From what I've read about him it sounds like he exploded on the scene early in his high school career, but not a lot of information on him since then. Can anyone confirm what the deal is with this kid?

It started up, as I recall, in the mid-90s as one of the very first bulletin boards for high school and youth sports teams, but after the first two or three years, there was still almost nothing -- it was like the white area on the AT&T map (Verizon?). I hadn't seen it in years, and looks like it finally developed into something. A great outlet for Dave to find out about the Green soccer teams! Sanders missed most of his senior season of high school ball with health problems, so that might be why other schools backed off.

Looks like Yappi became the destination for a lot of people when JJHuddle.com instituted a membership fee.

He had a blood clot in his heart in early October 2009, soon after having knee surgery.

Kid who has talent but is just hamstrung (in some cases literally) by bad luck in the injury department. Wherever he ends up, I wish the kid the best. Zipmeister
Looks like he's going to a community college in Kansas. That's a shame. Even though he's a little tall for the position the football team could have used him as a defensive back.
