johnnyzip84 Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 I just noticed the roster information for Will Fleming has been revised. He is now listed as a tight end. Does anyone recall how well he played on offense while at Hoban? This seems to indicate the coaches are somewhat pleased with the current talent and depth at LB. Roster Quote
xu9697 Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 I noticed that today as well. I actually liked the potential I saw out of him, and thought he could challenge for the OLB spot opposite Thomas (even though scout had him listed as an ILB). Perhaps he becomes a bit of an H-back on this team. Quote

If someone changed his position to TE, you would think either it's legit or a pretty obvious mistake (wrong player?). We'll see if he stays listed as a TE. BTW, I was looking back at his old scout and rivals bios. I knew we beat out Hawaii for him, but I didn't realize Boise St had offered him! Link Edit: His father was an assistant at Boise a while back. Also, Will did catch a game winning TD against Garfield in his senior year. Quote

As I recall, Boise came in very late in the recruiting, after he had verballed, or at least shown his favor, to Akron. He cancelled a visit to Hawaii I understand. Quote
72 Roo Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 If he truly goes to TE that can't be good for him or us. Seems to indicate a non-fit. I liked his height and athleticism and still feel if he can put on weight he will be the type of LB we need. Now most of our LB's are small and cannot handle blocking from FB's or O linemen. They all need to take their nastiness up a bit too. Quote
