KeeprOFtheHous
who has heard their saying this year 3-more feet. That is what JD preached to them in the summer and that is what this season will comedown to. Now i have heard enough of JD not calling a QB keeper at Ball state, yes bad call but no sense to beat a dead horse. This comes down to the team. The best senario occured, BG crushed Miami. if we beat ball state we would be Winning. The zippers need to play every game like last nights. it just comes down to the players being mentaly tough. They should take some tips from M-Soccer who no doubt with a poor draw will win the who thing. zips play hard and beat Can't,
Dr Z
if we beat ball state we would be Winning. No sense in crying over spilled milk. If I understand it right, we take care of K-ent, Toledo beats BG, we go to the championship game. Can anybody confirm this? Now who would have thought that at the beginning of the season? Quickzips
Both BG and Miami have to loose if I am thinking right. Right now BG is up a game on us and Miami, if they loose and both of us win it ties all 3 of us at the top. It would be an interesting tie breaker though. BG loosing and both Miami and the Zips winning would set this up if I am thinking right. 3 way tie b/w Zips, Falcons, and Redhawks BG has the tiebreaker over Miami Zips have the tiebreaker over BG Miami has the tiebeaker over Zips Who would win then? Does anyone know?
Dr Z
Miami must lose to OU Last night a team member told me that JD told the team that game does not matter.
Dr Z
Who would win then? Does anyone know? I was told that the NIU game somehow is the tiebreaker. We win.

KeeprOFtheHous
OU:rolltide: Zips Man hope they feel ok this morning. yes NIU is the trifecta tie breaker
msopher
3 way tie b/w Zips, Falcons, and Redhawks BG has the tiebreaker over Miami Zips have the tiebreaker over BG Miami has the tiebeaker over Zips Who would win then? Does anyone know? BG goes unless they lose and Miami loses and Akron wins next Thurs. Otherwise BG still goes if they lose and Miami wins since they hold the tiebreaker. Miami can not go to the championship game. Akron goes if BG and Miami loses and the Zips beat Can't.

bigzipguy
Akron can win 3-way tie-breaker if Miami wins vs Ohio: 1.) Norhtern Ill must beat Toledo 2.) Northern Ill must beat W. Mich 3.) Toledo must beat B.G. 4.) Akron must beat Can't St.

I can indefinitely confirm this. Somebody close to the university spoke to the assistant AD, and what I found that Northern Illinois will factor into the scenario. Miami lost to them, but we beat them, etc. So according to this, all we need to do is beat Can't and have have a Toledo victory over BG. We are very much in this. Wow. bigzipguy
I beleive my above 3-team tie scenario is correct, with 1 addition: C. Mich must beat Ball St You have to remember that right now , B.G. would win the three team tie scenario!

WPIAL
Stop It!!!!!!!!! You are all truly idiots. It isn't that difficult to figure out. First, for the Zips to win the East and play in the Championship game the following scenario has to occur: 1. BG loses to Toledo 2. Miami loses to Ohio 3. Zips defeat Can't State This is the only scenario that allows Akron to win the East!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Second, the Zips are an absolutely awful football program. Do you people really think that they deserve to be champions of the east and play in the Championship game? How embarrassing that would be for the MAC. The fact that Akron is still mathematically alive in the East just proves how pathetic the MAC Conference has been this season. Give me a freakin' break! The Zipper
WPIAL, You must have corn cobs in your ears. Ignorance and an apparent inability to grasp a difficult tie-break scenario is one thing, lets face it, you're not Rick Chryst. However, we cannot tolerate your hatred for and disrespect of Zippy. Have you ever been kicked in the face by a kangaroo? Have you ever suffocated in the depths of a roo's pouch? Please, spare us the sophomoric banter. WWZD? Quickzips
WPIAL go back to the Can't board where you belong man. There is no need for that kind of direct hatred of fellow Zipsnation members on this board.
Big Zip
Anyone check the MAC website? This was there before yesterday's game. MAC EAST DIVISION: A Miami win over Bowling Green and an Akron win over Ohio gives the East title to Miami. A Bowling Green win over Miami and an Ohio victory over Akron gives the Falcons the title. For Akron to win the title, the Zips need to beat Ohio and Can't State the next two weeks; have Bowling Green beat Miami and lose to Toledo; and have Ohio beat Miami. For Ohio to win the East, the Bobcats need to beat Akron and Miami the next two weeks; have Miami beat Bowling Green; and Toledo to beat Bowling Green
WPIAL
Once again, Akron has only one chance to win the East as I stated above. If a three way tie exists at the conclusion of the season the tie would be broken by: 3. Comparison of conference winning percentage of cross-over opponents of the tied teams. a. Tie breaker awarded to team whose cross division opponents had the best cumulative winning percentage. As stated on page 92 of the Mid American Conference Compliance Handbook BG's cross division opponents winning percentage would be the highest based on their games versus Toledo, Western Michigan, and Ball State. Z-Pouch
What you are missing is the NI/Toledo, CMU/Ball State, NI/WMU games as noted by BigZipGuy ? This would change the Tie breaker awarded to team whose cross division opponents had the best cumulative winning percentage. These games could work out in Akron's favor - NI and CMU wins. This is just my interpetation of the rule you stated. The final MAC records of (T,WMU and BS) would be the same as (NI, CMU, BS) while the overall records would still favor BG.s group (T, WMU, BS). If it is MAC/Conference records (as the rule seems to state rather then overall), it pushes to the next tiebreaker in a three way tie - You'll have to let us all know what that is....or it even matters.
