Ryno aka Menace Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 P.S. the score it 28-13 NIU!!! Quote
Quickzips Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 No, its 28-7 NIU, the TD late by WMU was overturned. Watching Garret Wolfe run today, even when he is slightly banged up. I am in awe that we were able to contain him like we did earlier in the season. So far just about everything is going the zips way. This is a little too good to be true and I can't help but wonder where we are gonna get screwed this time. As for the bowl game talk, hell if we don't make it to the bowl I'm not gonna cry a river. I might not be happy, but I'm not gonna be writing hate mail to the NCAA. Fact of the matter is that we are in a rebuilding year and we are about 90min. away from goin to the MACC. I'll take it. I'll take it. as long as we take care of business tomorrow.... never a sure thing in a rivalry game... I'd take it too... Bowl game or not... Win the MACC and then I'd say we should go. But 1st things 1st... GO HUSKIES!!! Quote
Ryno aka Menace Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 quickzip i understand where you are coming from but how awsome and how optimistic would "everyone" be if we go to a bowl game during a rebuilding year!! Hell why wait till we are "good" to do anything positive. As far as JD and seniors are concerned there is no rebuilding year just a new attitude that the zips can and are supposed to win I think coachs make a mistake when they say that to the public because the team attitude changes to whether we win or lose it's no big deal, believe me I know I was a member of the Owens and Faust years! And sweet the TD was overturned but you said that already! Quote
Dr Z Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 About time that Wolfe (204 yards and counting) pulls a hammy, nothing too serious, to be ready, say about Dec 2. Quote
UA Fan Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 Is that the faint sound of wagon wheels I hear in the distance... Quote
Quickzips Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 Ryno, I understand the point on the bowl game, but here is how I look at it. As of right now we are about 75 min. away (15 min of the NIU game and then 60 min. against Can't tomorow) from making it to the MACC. That is a nationally televised game that should draw a good viewing audience. Heck just being there is gonna be good for recruiting purposes. I'm not so sure we won't beat NIU again the way a lot of MAC fans seem to think. Bowl game our not this season has exceeded MY personal expectations. If the team expects more, then great. Show me more. I'll be there with bells on. Oh yeah. BEAT THE TURKEYS! Quote
Zipsrifle Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 I can't believe that everyone is talking about our bowl game when we haven't even beaten Can't yet. Tomorrow is going to be a nasty day and may be to our advantage or to our disadvantage. Lets get the Can't game out of the way. That is the only thing we can control. Lets pound Can't and move on from there!!! I'll See everyone tomorrow morning, I'll be at the RB around 8:00 with 6 other Diehard Zip fans!!!!! Dress warm! This is going to be AWESOME!!!!!!!! Quote
Ryno aka Menace Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 You guys are right i just get so excited and want the UofA to do well.. The other day I got into a debate/argument about how to improve the other 1A schools in ohio. I stated that if Snyder can take Kansas St. from a bottom 100 team to a top 20 team why can't "one" of the MAC schools do the same. Marshall went from 1AA to 1A to conderence USA. I was bombarded with they will never be that calibure because Ohio State takes all the good recuits then Michigan then Penn St. I argue that Fresno State has to compete with USC, UCLA, etc. So don't tell me it will never happen...i ended up just getting frustrated. Ohio has great football....hell every heisman trophy winner at Michigan is from Ohio. The better we get the better chance we have of landing some of these players. Quote
Buckzip Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 Let's beat Can't, and then hope for another game. Quote
UA Fan Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 If we beat Can't, there will be another game, against NIU in Detroit. Quote
