MDZip Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 When we do beat FAU (by any margin) it will be interesting to see what the pollsters do next week. Will they knock Akron off the top spot because of a tie just for a change of pace? I say we keep the number 1 ranking because #2 in most polls right now is UNC. It would be pretty tough to say UNC is a better team even right now. Also, #2 UNC is playing #3 Virginia today - let's hope for the tie. Edit: Soccer America's polls are done on Thursdays. They still have the Zips at #1, even with the tie. Quote

plowerman78 Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 Dr. Z that wasnt a ZTV camera, it was actually the guys from mlssoccer.com. they tapped the game, had a report about it. Not sure where its at on their website but its there somewhere. they got 3 videos about the game, 1 with the game report, 1 with osu at practice and 1 with former buckeye and zip players with their thoughts before the game. I thought they did a great job with that video. Their quality is better than that of Ztv. I would like to see Ztv upgrade their quality. HD cameras are very affordable. Canon has a great line for small single focus interviews of the coach and press conferences. Quote
RootforRoo44 Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 This is a link to game highlights on mlsnet. The reaction of Warzycha after the red card is bizarre. He just kind of walks away in a daze even as Akron players are shoving him. I will give OSU's coach the benefit of the doubt because he hadn't seen video of the incident but he says they were unlucky in getting the red card because it could have easily been yellow. OSU's lucky I didn't jump out of stands and throttle Warzycha http://www.mlssoccer.com/videos?catid=112&id=9183 Does anyone know how to pull just the red card clip out of this video and put it on youtube? I'd love to be able to pull that clip up whenever we play the Bucks as a little reminder and extra inspiration. ask and ye shall receive.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1aDe05v2sOg thanks for the video! I used it on my blog. Quote

College Soccer News kept the Zips at #1 but Top Drawer Soccer dropped Akron to #2 (behind Louisville of all people). Think it was mostly just to shake things up a little bit, Lousiville really didn't deserve that kind of a leap. They also tied OSU but the rest of their schedule is not exactly composed of juggernauts. Quote

In reality, their poll is essentially meaningless anyways. The NSCAA poll comes out tomorrow. Bet they have the Zips at #1. Quote
ndzeigler Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 NSCAA has the Zips at a unanimous number one still. Quote
