tbozeglav
Saw two things today while getting lunch in the union: 1) grounds was aerating the soccer field. While the field looks good for this time of the year, obviously they're trying to get it as dry as possible and keep it that way with the craptastic weather that is bound to come soon. 2) The guys were having practice next door to the Jack. Porter really looked like he was working them hard. I think they stopped maybe 3 times in the hour I was at the union, and the last one was because of an injury. I was too far away to tell who it was, but it looked like they sprained their ankle.

It is done in the fall and spring because the ground is soft. Those little cores will get stuck in their spikes and cause some slipping, I've seen it happen in football. They will dissipate in a few weeks depending on weather.
tbozeglav
They appeared to also be running over the cores with a lawn mower. Im sure over the next week they'll be doing the same thing. Next home game won't be till the MAC tourney, so they have time to get things ready. While we are on the subject of injury, please provide status of Kofi Sarkodie playing @ Michigan State. #8 was sorely missed in loss @ Cleveland State.
