Dave in Green
It sounds as if both places have gotten the message, and that both will be trying to deliver a better experience for Zips fans this weekend. I hope that we can get reports on both places to see how well they did.
ZTVSportsProducer
Off topic, but I don't care. Head over to www.ztvsports.com to hear what some of our guys have to say about the tournament thus far, a look back at the last game for the Zips, and what they think will happen in the Final Four! (NOTE: There are 2 videos on there for you all to watch. First 2 in the carousel if you scroll through that.)

That's pretty much how I remember it. One giant mosh pit. That's one of those things that sets soccer apart from basketball and football, the scoring plays are that much more exciting. Great memory. Buchtelsfinest
We certainly are a bunch of whiners on here, arent we? Quit complaining about past Suckeye experiences, come to the official watch party with your fellow Zip faithful and enjoy the game and some drinks. You're not going to be eating at 11pm anyways, right? That would be unhealthy About time we see some positivity from the ultimate bitterman. "If I can change, and you can change...We can all change" - Rocky 2010 Boxing HOF inductee. See you there, go zips. Did I just get smack talked by the new guy? Welcome aboard. Ohhhhhh just getting into it. In all honesty with Barley House though I've been there a few times, it doesn't seem to have an identity. They got flat screens in some spots with some sports on it but they still have some annoying dj with the same tired schtick and a dance floor. If your in the right mood on the right night its ok (plenty of talent) but if your just wanting to watch some sports, there is better places. Tap House isn't bad, they aren't going to keep it quiet or anything, and the Chris Jericho tights are a bit offputting but everything else seems to be great. My nephew is in the Rowdies, he likes it just fine.
skip-zip
Would you all like some cheese with that whine? Come on. These places are going out of their way to accommodate Zips fans and all everyone does is complain about it. You talk about needing to show establishments that the Zips need to be taken seriously, and here is a golden opportunity and all anyone talks about is how it's not good enough and they won't go. How are these places supposed to believe that doing business with akron fans is worth it? Zach. I respect your thoughts here. And I hope it's the beginning of a turn in the right direction. I think the negativity you hear from some people is indeed just a display of frustration over the past. I know that I have personally spent a lot of my time getting dressed up in Zips gear and heading out to the bars and restaurants in the Universitiy area over the years, only to feel unwelcome, having to beg to get Akron's game on TV, and watching staff decked out in OSWho gear. And I think many of people feel today as if maybe we are now being welcomed with open arms because it's suddently convenient to covet Zips fans. I love that last sentence. Lets pack the bars tonight and show people that it's worth being a ZIPS establishment.

scottditzen
Whoa, I forgot all about the Old Angle. I'm really torn...I want to experience the game with as many AK fans as possible, but heading south from Cleveland is gonna be rough on me today. Decisions! p.s. I'm really glad that with BH and TH we have two places on this thread vying for our business, vs. the ZERO attention we've gotten in the past. Well put guys! For those that live in the cleveland area ill be watching the game at the old angle on w 25th. English pub that shows nothing but soccer. Already confirmed theyre showing the match. gozips19
thanks for asking! it was ok. gave us one of the bigger tv's but no sound. many people noticed my small group watching the game and began to watch and comment on last years loss in the title game and they knew about how good akron's soccer program was. was great to get the random comments during the game and someone bought me a victory beer! can't beat that! scottditzen
Sounds great, especially the part about the congratulatory beer!! Hope we'll all be having some congrat. beers tomorrow. Barring the much feared blizzard, I'll be heading down to Barley House. And I'll save the Angle as an emergency backup plan. thanks for asking! it was ok. gave us one of the bigger tv's but no sound. many people noticed my small group watching the game and began to watch and comment on last years loss in the title game and they knew about how good akron's soccer program was. was great to get the random comments during the game and someone bought me a victory beer! can't beat that!
