Z.I.P.
ESPN has an article rating the players, Bunbury scores a 6 http://espn.go.com/sports/soccer/news/_/co...-shine-friendly TB I just caught the replay of the match on ESPN3.com. Shameful that ESPN did not carry a live broadcast on an otherwise slow TV sports night anyway. Our boy acquitted himself very well. He is maturing rapidly and will press for a spot on the full national side. I dare say that had Teal been the player in 2009 he now is, Akron would have scored a goal vs. Virginia in the CC final. At any rate, we should all be extremely proud of how TB represents Akron. Unfortunately for Teal Bunbury, he and Jozy Altidore play the same position and are essentially the same type of player. Juan Agudelo is more of a compliment to Altidore. Therefore, I do not see a forward line consisting of Altidore and Bunbury ever occurring in a FIFA qualifying match. Teal will likely need to beat out Altidore in order to start. This is possible. Hey, I know this is a long way from Rio 2014, but when Bob Bradley is in the coaching box, it IS the full US National side! I don't know for how long BB will continue to play the youth, but if it continues for much longer, you have to wonder whether Jozy will maintain his past role. Does the first round of qualifying (vs Turks and Kaikos) begin in one year? Agudelo seems to be very impressive, and Teal is developing as well as could be expected -- probably beyond. Crew8
Hey thanks to those who showed up at the Barley House. A great turnout although we had some technical difficulties with the feed. We're working on improving the quality if USSF puts us in this situation again. I don't remember his exact words, but Coach Porter said to me Saturday evening. Just wait, we'll see more players from Akron playing with the US Squad, and playing in the future World Cup. You gotta love it! Coach Porter also signed up with the Akron American Outlaws. Next match is February 9th US vs. Egypt. 12:25pm We'll be watching it at the Barley House in the Bar area. Is the Barley house usually where the Akron AO chapter watches matches? I don't see an Akron chapter on the website, and I'd be interested in joining for sure Ando, as of right now, the Barley House is where we're hosting our viewing parties. If its a Friday or Saturday evening, we'll be in the Banquet Room of the Barley House. We started up around October and we need to have 25 Paid Members to become an Official Chapter. After Saturday, we're up to 22 Official Members, and once we get to 25, we'll be listed on the American Outlaws Website plus we'll receive other benefits. You can sign up using the The American Outlaws Website and pay by PayPal for $19 http://www.theamericanoutlaws.com/membership (make sure you select your t-shirt size, type in Akron, Ohio as desired Chapter in the box, and let me know when you sign up) If you don't care to use PayPal, you can always pay cash at a viewing party. We have membership kits available. You can contact us and keep updated by sending an email to aoakron@gmail.com or the Facebook Page www.facebook.com/akronoutlaws Coach Porter and some of the Akron American Outlaws

I thought going to the game would be a good birthday present for myself, but as it turns out, going to Egypt isn't in a college budget. I'm really looking forward to this. Ando you in? And better question, you buying me a drink?

If I read this correctly, the Akron chapter has enough members to be an official chapter. I'm glad that I could help. http://twitter.com/AmericanOutlaws "Congrats to Brooklyn for becoming Official AO Chapter.
