Who knows DeJovi Platt?

Hi,

I'm from a European football team that has come across a former Akron football player named DeJovi Platt (or something similar).

Apparently he played one year of football for the Zips as either QB or WR.

Does anyone know of him and can tell me some more?

Thanx!!

Cap'n, are you sure that's not the REAL Blue Roo Brew Crue in your picture?

And shame on you for forgetting me! I made it to #3 QB for a week in the midst of Faustmania.

Proud Zip #7

p.s.: Yes -- as a matter of fact my middle name IS Bon.

:gun:

My bad for thinking that this was a place for serious Zips fans. I hope "your" team is better at football than you are at helping people!

I'm out...

I will give you the "serious" reply you want, even though you don't seem like all that nice a guy:

I follow the football program as closely as anyone. I can say the following:

1.) There has not been a player named Dejovi Platt on the Zips squad in the past decade.

2.) I highly doubt there's been one named Dejovi Platt in the decade preceding this one either.

My educated guess is Mr. Platt probably sat the bench for a season...or part of a season...or maybe a single practice...and quit. I assume this because, who the hell would spout off that they were a member of the Akron Zips? If you were going to flat-out fabricate you were a collegiate football player, I'm sure you'd select a Big 10 team and not one from the MAC. Then again maybe Mr. Platt is related to George O'Leary, who lied that he was a star for New Hampshire?

I wish Mr. Platt the best in his European venture. The next time he's in Mannheim, tell him to stop and enjoy a Jever Pils. Good stuff.

Thanks for the input - the reason for the Platt-guy not showing up in the record books (or anywhere else) could be my spelling of his name.

He's 6-3; 220 lbs and (claims to have) played one year for the Zips and then transferred to somewhere else. He also played WR.

..maybe it's Frye who wants to play in Europe (the girls here are awesome) rather than in the NFL!

PS. I'm an extremely nice guy - I just pick my time when to show it!! ;o]
