jockey16
Its hard to appreciate what they have now compared to past players when they're constantly reminded during road games that what they have Is still worse than every other ballpark they play in. I can't speak as to now, but when we played the actual playing surface on the field was very good compared to other teams. The surroundings were lacking, but the actual field was just fine. It may be hard for them to appreciate, and I can understand that. However, even if the facilities are the worst in the whole conference, which ours were when I played, the coaches and leaders on the team need to set the tone and attitude for everyone else to follow. We may have less, but we will work harder and take the big guys down. Like I said previously, I look forward to seeing the approach from the team next season. I expect it to be much different than what we have been seeing.
ZachTheZip
The team will hold walk-on tryouts. I know that there are some pretty good baseball players at UA who weren't playing for the team.

Spin
I was on campus last week, and there were Bobcats (the little tractors, not the OU kind) digging between the soccer stadium and the baseball er, uh, "stadium". Are they doing some upgrades to the ballpark?

Are they doing some upgrades to the ballpark? They're upgrading the soccer stadium. The work might involve setting the area up for future construction on the baseball side. I know there's supposed to be some kind of pavilion or something going in where the baseball, soccer, softball, and track fields meet.
