Why are people so down on Frye?
I don't think "people" are down on Frye. I think one person is...and that person likes to type alot...so it looks like many are. ;)
I don't like to type a lot..................I LOVE to type a lot.

I want to weigh in on this arm strength issue between the two. If it was a contest between the two of them throwing the ball from their knees, Getsy would win. The game isn't played like that though. To piggy back on the physics theme CK put up early in the week, we all know Force=Mass x Acceleration. Frye is extremely fast for the position he plays so when he is running, it adds to the acceleration part of the equation and he can throw the ball really hard and he also has good accuracy when he runs which is a huge part of the NFL game. If you can force him to stay in they pocket, he is easy to beat because he does not have the stand and throw arm strength required to win long term in the NFL.Charlie will waste away in the graveyard that is Cleveland for 3-4 years. It will be interesting to see who wants him after that though. Just ask Tim Couch. Maybe he could marry a hot Playmate fo the Year like Couch did and they could retire together, count their money and argue over who has the hotter wife. Not bad work if you can get it.

Just a lil point about arm strength. The QB with the strongest arm in the NFL (arguably) Mike Vick is also considered one of the worst passing QB's in the league. The QB who had the strongest arm since the return of the Browns was Spergon Wynn, a guy who never should have seen the light of day in the CFL let alone the NFL. Many experts agree, arm strength is one of the most over-rated characteristics for a QB prospect.

i dont have a problem with the games being on espn by playing during the week.what i do have a problem with is moving a game to thanksgiving, and then not getting the game on espn. unless you have a guarantee the game is going to be on you could be replaced by poker on thanksgiving.we got scewed big time by espn, and traded the largest crowd of the year in.
OMG!! I have to agree I left after the 3rd quarter and rushed to my brothers house to finish watching the game and it wasn't on! I was on ESPNU who the hell has that?

i know it's water under the bridge, but i wonder if uam could have done anything legallyto force espn hand.it was a bullcrap move on espn's part. i don't think it will happen again with the zips going to a bowl game, and finally getting some national exposure.the fact is thoguh it should have never happened in the first place.
