Cap'n, when a poster calls some one a "hater" that is a backhanded reference to being a racist.

No it isn't. Not even close. If you are a "hater," you simply hate someone. If you disparage someone, you are "hating on them." It has absolutely nothing to do with race.

I have "hated" on Bryan Hipsher in the past. It wasn't because he was white.

To be fair, GoZips' original post expressed both strong words of cricitism and strong words of support for Q. But the nature of sports forums is that people tend to be provoked and react more strongly to negatives than positives.

Posters who come on strong on sports forums are going to get strong pushback, which tends to produce stronger comebacks, ad infinitum. That's when good moderators are most appreciated.

Honestly, this one isn't worth fighting over.

One of your posts related to that topic will for me forever be one of the funniest posts in Zips Nation history ..

Zip shall not "hate on" Zip.

First off, the schedule is coming together. The Zips hope to play two high majors. No deal is signed

as of this date. Also being worked on is a fresh home-n-home with Rhode Island. Games with

VCU (Dec. 29th), Valpo and Duquense are booked. The Zips open on the road at Cleveland State.

Thanks for the updates. So I would think this is what it looks like

Home

VCU

UIC

Detroit

2-3 buy games

Valpo or Duquense

Road

CSU

YSU

2 high majors

Valpo or Duquense

Bracketbuster

3 game neutral tourney and hopefully URI

I like playing the Horizon as their home games are streamed online. And I like the scheudule. Schedule to win 20 which is what this looks like. Not a Miami schedule (thank goodness) but a solid schedule and some nice home games and a couple driveable road games.
