Johnny Utah Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 Turned on Sounders/Rapids game just as they were strapping Steve-O on the stretcher. Must be a nasty break as they already had an air cast on his lower leg. From all the posts on Twitter, it sounds as if it were a horrible tackle and already calling for a lengthy suspension for Brian Mullan from the Rapids. Haven't watched this yet, but it's supposedly graphic. http://www.mlssoccer.com/videos?catid=114&id=13995 Quote

You can tell he was ticked he didn't get a call, got straight up, and maliciously tackled Steve-O. From the video, it almost looks like Steve-Os foot is going to fall off his leg. I can't imagine that either player will be seeing the playing field for a very long time. Absolutely disgusting... Quote
Let'sGoZips94 Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 That guy is lucky Steve-O's foot is completely snapped off from the rest of his leg. I think if it was still attached, but just broken, Steve-O would've kicked his butt. That's the most atrocious thing I've seen in soccer for a long time. That guy needs to be banned. Quote

I wouldn't say banned because tackles like that aren't in that guys history. It was still terrible I'm betting it's a fine and 3-5 games. Quote
zipseuph Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 if I had to guess I would say this is the end of #11 career. that break was absolutely brutal. Quote
zip37 Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 I hope you're wrong [but I don't think you are]. all we can do is pray that Steve-o is a fast healer like J. Wood. Quote
zip37 Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 On the video, was that cracling sound the leg breaking. I THINK so. Quote
Z.I.P. Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 On the video, was that cracling sound the leg breaking. I THINK so. Fraid so. As I wrote on the other thread, I hoped it was shinpads, but no it wasn't. Maybe it's good that I wasn't watching that closely -- I didn't see the leg bend, but Kyle Martino who did, immediately spoke with a cringe in his voice. Let's just wait and hope for the best. MLS needs you Stevie. Quote
