Hilltopper
Any guesses as to attendance for tonites game? The students are back so that will help. If we can't get people to the games in the middle of an 8 game winning streak than I wonder what the problem is. The ABJ coverage has been better and UAM has spent the $ to promote the team. Now its up to people of Akron to show their colors.
Z-Pouch
The Credit Union game always has pretty good attendence. If the weather holds out, is 4500 possible ? I'd guess 3500-4000 and it will look like a lot more.Nice article in the paper about Linhart today.
Quickzips
I'll probably be there w/ a small group of students. This will only be my second game this year. Hope to get to some more though.
fear the brown roo
i was gieven access to over 250 tickets to pass out. seems like there was much interest in the zips. most everyone i asked if they wanted tickets knew the zips were doing well and were excited to get free tickets. many even asked for more the next day. we'll see how many actually use them. fear the roo! Valpo Zip
C'mon Akron people !It is time to sell out the JAR ... from now on, every home game should be a sell out. After tonight, the remaining games are hard ... we need you to be there and to be loud, remember you are going to a bb game not to a movie so you have to stand up and jump and scream and shout. zipboy
I will be surprised if it is not at least 4500. We have been drawing 3K without student. Throw in 400 for them and another thousand for the credit union game. I look for good attendance tonight. Huggins get inducted at the Miami game, that should be over 5K. Can't and OU will be sellouts. Buffalo will draw well. If we get at least 4K for WMU, that tells me we are starting to develop a fan base. Hilltopper
Finally a full house . It was great to see a big crowd and the Zips played good enough to win. Lets build on this and make the JAR an even better place for home court advantage.
Zipsrifle
Tonights game was the first one I've been to in about 7 years. I thought the attendance was great, and the crowd came alive when the Zips started to make a run. By the middle of the 2nd half, we were far enough ahead that there wasn't much of a reason for the crowd to get in it. It was a good time, I'm going to one more game this year, again it will be against EMU.
Quickzips
I enjoyed the game. Great crowd and any time you can win by 18 it isn't a bad thing. I have to admit I was a little frustrated at the start of the game. It seemed like we were just out there screwing around looking for that perfect shot and EMU opened up a double digit lead. Then it just seemed like a lightbulb went off, the pace quickend and EMU was nothing more than a sitting duck (pun intended). When we wanted to we could score at will it seemed like. Good game. *disclaimer: This comes from someone who knows little about basketball, excuse it if it is incoherent and otherwise unuseful*
Quickzips
Ohh by the way, I got to see the mascot fighting cartoon tonight and I must say that was the most entertaining spot I have ever seen. UAM we need to start selling that spot. I want a copy. Brilliance, pure brilliance.
