Ex-Akron AD to Head NCAA Men's BB Committee

I always thought Mike Bobinsky was a positive influence on our athletic program, though I think he left in fairly short order. How do people feel his sitting at the head of the NCAA BB Committee will impact Akron and the MAC? It sure can't hurt! The Muskies are coming to Hawaii for the first time this year for the Diamond Head Classic. Hope he makes the trip. I wanna thank him for the 2-guard.

My recollection is that Bobinski's mis-step wasn't the hiring of Owens & Hipsher (both did some heavy lifting in their time here) .. it was the knee jerk 5 year extensions offered at the urging of Terry Pluto.

Interesting observation. Still to this day, I can't believe how many people still remember the article in support of him that appeared right next to the standings showing our dismal status in the All-MAC sports rankings.
