Scout has no info, other than listing him as a 2 star. Also at 6-6, 190.http://scouthoops.scout.com/a.z?s=75&p...amp;nid=5307682He is rail thin, but obviously that profile could be old if he did indeed grow an inch.

ESPN grades him as an 80, "Mid Major Minus" Prospect. His strengths do fit into KD's typical player profile: Kretzer is a big time perimeter shooter who can make shots in bunches from behind the three-point line and has deep range. He can make shots spotting up, coming off screens or pulling up off the dribble and has improved his ability to attack close-outs off the dribble. He is a cerebral player with a high basketball I.Q. who moves well without the ball and passes well within the flow of the offense. Kretzer has good size and a sturdy frame for the wing, rebounds his position adequately and is a solid team defender.SOURCE

Not a bad get if this one holds up (as opposed to Akbar), but I still want to see us get some size in here, and this isn't a guy who fits that. However if there is one thing I am concerned about for this team long term other than size in the frontcourt it is having some knock down perimeter shooters who can space the floor well with all the athletes we have been bringing in of late. Kretzer seems to fit that bill pretty well.

Kretzer does play for one of the best AAU teams in Ohio, All-Ohio Red. Some of his teammates include:Shaker Heights Three Star PG Terry Rozier (Zips offer)St. Edwards SG Myles Hamilton (Reports had KD watching him last summer)Medina Four Star PF Kenny Kaminski (headed to Michigan State)Columbus Northland Three Star PF Jalen Robinson (headed to Dayton)Columbus Northland PF Devon Scott (headed to Cincinnati)Columbus Marion Franklin Four Star PF Elijah Macon (originally committed to WVU, but backed out)

Love these quotes

"I want Akron to know they are getting a guy who wants to win," Kretzer said. "I'm going to go there and put forth my best efforts. I want to earn the respect of my coaches and teammates and return that respect to them.

"College ball is completely different than high school ball, so I'm going to need to get a little stronger. I also want to work on my ball handling skills and foot speed, but all around, I'm just going to be a guy that goes up there and gets it done."

:screwks:

Some good video from, judging by the posting date, what must have been his sophomore season here:

His dad (Brad) maintains the information on his beRecruited.com player info page:

It's a bit unsettling that his Dad lists commits for several other players on the Red team, but not his son.

I heard the kid was giving serious consideration to Wright State.
