zipper
We have nine remaining MAC games. To get to a 20-win season, we must win five of these. Here is the schedule - any predictions?http://gozips.collegesports.com/sports/m-b...skbl-sched.html
UAZipster0305
6-3 in the last 9 games...a loss each away at Can't and Buffalo and a loss in the Bracket Buster...if we don't win more than 6 of these games including the Bracket Buster and don't win the MAC Championship, there will be no NCAA Tournament. However, I like our chances at the MAC Championship and the NIT isn't a bad consolation as we could win that whole thing.
Zips fan
We have ten games left (nine conference and the bracket buster). If you add in games for the MAC tournament we could have up to 14 more decisions left. I think the Zips will go 7-3 through the remainder of the schedule. Add a couple of wins in the MAC tournament and the Zips will be sitting on the bubble come selection time. The Zips will hopefully be able to go to the big tournament, but if we fall short the NIT tournament should be a given if we break 20 wins. msopher
If Zips go 8-2 in last 10 games, a chance at a bid in the tourney if no MAC championship.Anything less than 7-3 and you'd better hope we win it all in Cleveland.
InTheZone
Undefeated in the last 10.
UAZips
Akron has gotten a pretty good deal of national pub this year, I think that will help come decision time. I think they'll drop just one more game, and go 9-1 before the MACC.

KingZip
You guys are some negative thinkers. Why would I think that Akron would not sweep it's home games against Buffalo, WMU, BG, Ohio and Can't - that is a total of five wins. Why would I think that Akron would not win at EMU, Miami, and Buffalo? That is another three wins.Akron's bracket buster is TBA, but why would you bet against your own team.Quit thinking like damned losers all of the time and give the boys the credit they deserve. They have lost one MAC game, 17-1 is not out of the question.

They have lost one MAC game, 17-1 is not out of the question. This is EXACTLY the spirit Akron needs in the fan base. Akron fans have been conditioned to lose for so long, they don't see the possibility of success. There are some fans of different schools out there who can't fathom their school ever losing.Buffalo, Miami, OU and Can't State were all on TV here yesterday. I may not know much about basketball, but I know enough to see that Akron is just as good as, if not better than, each of those teams. Don't hope to win, expect to win. I'm with InTheZone and King Zip, Akron wins out.Stop thinking like Browns fans and Eeyore!
bigzipguy
I am happy about the win yesterday at BG. But, and you know I have mentioned thisbefore, unless Dambrot starts working in the fourth guard, probably Mraz, the guardsWILL WEAR DOWN!!!!!!! IF HE WOULD HAVE DONE THAT FOR MORE THAN JUST A FEWMINUTES YESTERDAY, WHEN THE ZIPS HAD A 19 POINT LEAD IN THE SECOND HALF, THERE MAY VERY WELL NOT HAVE BEEN NEED FOR AN OVERTIME!!!!! There is a long way to go.Three games in three days at the 'Q' is quite a grind.. WE must have fresh guards.
