RootforRoo44
How was attendance versus Toledo? And did we win? Lost Friday 8-4. After taking a 3-2 lead midway through the third, we collapsed and gave up a 6-to-1 run to end the game. Lost Saturday 5-3. Good game, but again gave up a few late ones. Attendance Friday was good. Probably the best student crowd of the year, but a total attendance near 300. Good turnout for the tailgate (during a snowstorm) as well. Probably 50 people for the tailgate in 20 degree weather. Saturday's attendance was about the same as friday.

That's a pretty good attendance. We really may pack them in if hockey was a scholarship sport & had an on-campus facility.

They've had over 500 this season for several games so there's no doubt in my mind it could be a big sport if it were on-campus.

ZippyRulz
Who officiates the club hockey games? Do they get regular college hockey refs? Or are they from other area amateur leagues? Just wondering what the quality of officiating is..

RootforRoo44
How many of last years seniors are with the team this year? How many people that were seniors last year are back or how many players are returning that are seniors this year? But they have two seniors this year: Ethan Jurrus and Brian Burke. Jurrus was a contributor last year and Burke was one of their top scorers.
RootforRoo44
By the way, the Zips routed West Virginia 6-1 Friday night to move to 10-11 on the year. But they should improve on the record as they get more into the meat of their conference schedule. They played a brutual OOC schedule, with many against M1 (D1) ACHA teams so it's a bit misleading. In fact, they are currently ranked 15th in the region (out of 38 teams) so they are getting plenty of respect.
RootforRoo44
The Zips Hockey team had a charity sled hockey game with the Mighty Barons (disabled kids) on Friday night. They followed that up with their first ever alumni game. The night was a huge success...and Zippy even got in on the action:

I don't believe my question could have been any more clearly worded. How many of last years seniors are with the team this year? Also - any seniors from two years ago still with the team? RootforRoo44
I don't believe my question could have been any more clearly worded. How many of last years seniors are with the team this year? Also - any seniors from two years ago still with the team? You could specify whether or not you mean seniors in terms of eligibility or seniors in terms of school...because those are two VERY different things. There are ZERO seniors left from the last two years, as ACHA rules would not allow them to play when they are graduated and/or not eligible. I think that's a fairly easy assumption to make, without any need for my answer. Maybe i'm misreading you, but are you ripping on the team in some way? If so, i have no clue what you're getting at. And sorry if am misreading your intentions, as the question really doesn't make sense to me.
