Sloopy
The AK-ROWDIES last night were pathetic, but only in their lack of enthusiasm for their team. No lasting cheers, dead quiet most of the second half. It was like pulling teeth to get everyone to cheer or spark the team into a run and kill the Bulls off by 20+. This is what you are there for not to stand there and watch and not do anything. THE STUDENT SECTION SHOULD BE LOUD ALL THE TIME! I know it's hard but a least don't look at ME strangely when I am screaming my vocal cords out try to get 200 fair-weather students to spark our offense when we ABOUT TO BLOW A TOP 100 TEAM OUT OF THE JAR. Be consistent or give up the prime seats to fans who will cheer. I actually heard a student walking out of the JAR complaining that the team only won by 14 and that is was not exciting to watch us play teams like Buffalo? How bad is that.GET IN THE GAME KIDS - YOU ARE IN COLLEGE - CUT LOOSE - HAVE SOME FUN
UADavid
As an AK-OLDIE I thought the rowdies did a pretty good job especially with the melt down of the Buffalo coach in the second half. Keep up the good work.
ziplock
I thought the Rowdies did pretty well last night. It (the Rowdies noise) helps to get some of the other sedate folks pumped. As usual, many pulses need to be checked for signs of life for folks in the reserved sections. There were moments of loud "brilliance" (as with Witherspoon's melt-down), but I agree there could be more noise and mayhem.I'm wondering if those watching ONN could discern any difference in crowd noise with the Rowdies now versus the past? I know that the physical placement of student seating at the JAR gives a much different look than, for example many Big Ten or ACC venues, where the student section is visible for broadcasts. Hilltopper
I'll never forget the night that the old guy sitting across the isle from me in the lower reserve section told us that we needed to be quiet during the game. It was disturbing them!

zippyrifle32
there were times that we really got going, but down the stretch it was really hard with all the time outs being called. plus (and maybe it's me) the game didn't feel like there was any rythm in it. it's like we'd get something started, then the refs would call soemthing stupid and it'd die. how many offensive fouls did they call? it was a wierd game... Valpo Zip
The Ak-rowdies were ok last night ! they could have been louder but they were not bad !At least the Cedrick's better was awesome. And even though i am not a fan of making fun of peoples' names, i assume that screaming (idibidbidibihi) and (fedetov) and the Johnny cage shouts were disturbing the players enough !But Instead of blaming the Ak-rowdies for not being loud enough... how about the people of Akron ! 2,815 people in attendance ! are you kidding me ? This is how the people of Akron support their 16-4 team ? and then they come and complain that Akron is not doing that good !!!!! I think it is about time for the people of Akron to shake their booties and come to all home games and seel the jar out.
Zipsrifle
After what I saw at the football games this year, I'm not suprised that the student section would be rather sedated. By the 3rd quater of FB, it went from watching the team to trying to find someone to hookup with that night.
