GoZips
Creighton upset 1-0 by Missouri State The Creighton loss is HUGE. Missouri State is unranked. Zips might move up to the top four.

I think that's a DEFINITE top 4 as long as we beat the hawks on Saturday. In fact,if U Conn, NC,or Maryland stumble over the weekend who knows how high we will be ranked next Tuesday when the NSCAA poll is released. BTW first official RPI rankings are released on Oct 18. bisbee
So far so good. Mayland tied with Duke and UNC tied with Cof C . Both at half. If Duke and Cof C come through with wins we will be sitting pretty probably at number two with a win tomorrow.

jem101
Davidson ices UNC 1-0Wow. That's two losses for UNC against teams they should have easily taken care of. Hopefully, they can turn around and take out Maryland on Friday.
Dave in Green
It's looking more and more as if there's really no dominant team in college soccer this season, and that it may be wide open for any of the top 10 teams to get it all together come tournament time. I think that is true. But I will argue that is better for us to be under rated than over at this time. I would rather them have something to prove....and work to prove it. The prospects of playing UConn or Maryland on the road are ominous.

Will be hoping UNC can take down Maryland on Friday and than Bakersfield beats New Mexico.

MDZip
USF up on Lousville 3-0 at the half. Of course USF is higher ranked right now so that may not be completely good.

Lets focus on the schedule on task and let everything else work out.

MDZip
We were so poised to take advantage of this week playing a bad Michigan team. UConn, UNC, ST. Johns, UC Irvine all lose. Maryland has to be happy right now (but UNC may take them down Saturday). At least the Michigan loss wasn't last year in the semi's.
Dave in Green
More and more proof every week that there are quite a few competitive teams this year that aren't so dominant that they aren't susceptible to being upset by lesser teams, and in many cases multiple times. Most of the other college soccer fan bases of the nation's top-ranked teams must be feeling about the same as Zips fans right now. They know their teams are really good. But they have doubts about whether they're good enough to overcome the team weaknesses that resulted in regular season losses and go undefeated in the postseason to win the national championship.
