bisbee
Latest installment of a 'ranking list" has Wil Trapp as Number 1 Freshman in the country at this point in the season. At this time link won't open so I know that from the headline. I am sure Gallego and Yedlin are on the list as well. The deeper we get in the playoffs the higher these guys will be ranked. jem101
Not working for me either. Trapp has been a rock in the midfield this year. Often I don't even notice him out there, but I think that is what his role dictates. Often, at the holding mid position, you only get noticed if you're doing something wrong. Unless of course your name is Perry Kitchen. As for Gallego and Yedlin, they have to be in the top 25. An interesting thing that the announcers were noticing last night is how BG was giving Barson all the space in the world while pressuring Gallego. It seemed like they were more worried about Gallego making a big pass than Barson. Pretty impressive given how experienced Barson is, yet they seemed more afraid of Gallego's playmaking ability. Of course, they may have also wanted to take advantage of Gallego's inexperience to force a easy turnover... Just an interesting note. Three of top 10 are keepers so 3 of top 7 field players are ZIPS.
yazan07
Awesome to see our freshmen ranked so high. I also noticed #37 is Diego Navarette. Anyone remember him? He played for us for about 10 minutes in the Spring haha.

I remember him as very unimpressive, contrary to his long list of credentials.Does anyone know the real story on Diego Navarette?
jem101
Speaking of ex-Zips, Tulloch is in the TDS Top 10 of upperclassmen. Porter sure does know how to recruit forwards! Hopefully he can pull in another great one for next year!

He had some speed and some good moves, but in the Spring games the team looked like they hadn't played much time together as a whole, which was the case. I was very surprised when Diego transferred. But, he may not have fit into the system, or he may not have felt comfortable at Akron. It doesn't really matter why he transferred; as with anyone, I wish him success. That may have played a role in why he chose UAB.
