I do not believe TW is considering firing Ianello at all right now. The only way this is going to get done is if there's a strong message sent to Dr. P from the Zips community.

Tom Wistrcill will NEVER fire Rob Ianello. His bloated ego will never permit that.

TW's plan is to wait three more years and then "evaluate" his protege.

He can see by the team record and the stands at home games.

If the Universtiy cannot eat a contract for a bust of hire then the University needs to get out of the Div. 1 football business. This is the cost of doing business and the cost of making a poor hire at AD who in turn made a poor hire at football coach.

Well said, but even so, to attract a good candidate pool they're going to want to know they have more than 2 recruiting/playing seasons to establish their team. That and the wasted money are the rock and the hard place the admin finds themselves between.

@Zippyrulz I think that is easily answered by telling the prospective new coach that the previous coach was not showing any progress. Let's face it there isn't a person here who thought this team was going to challenge for the conference title, but if we were in more than half our games and won 4 games people on this board wouldn't be nearly as angry as they are today.

I agree. Ianello has taken this program backward. We're no longer even the least bit competitive.

They all have e-mail. If you haven't sent one its hard to believe. Do it now if you want a change. Need to get more media writing about this. Ridenour started the ball rolling. And the key will be to hold onto this ire until next year when the university calls and asks you to renew your season tickets. A lot of people are saying now that they're not going to. You need to hold to that.
