zipboy Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 Loved him, they should name a building after him someday. MT kicked a$$ Quote
liljc Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 I thought Mike Thomas was doing a nice job. He got a lot accomplished while he was here. I just wish he'd have stayed long enough to get the new stadium started. I feel, it would have been done the right way, if he had stayed. With new AD, Mack Rhoades, in place, I am hopeful, but there is no real track record for me to look at. Quote
fear the brown roo Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 thank god we still have the wad! :macc: Quote
KeeprOFtheHous Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 i wouldnt hold my breath on UAM aka Wad , rummor is he is in Cinci interviewing Quote
AK-Zips Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 ...even if he is in Cinci interviewing, it would not be a good career move on his part. He would be better off getting out of MT's shadow and going somewhere else. Although he would make more money, this would not be an upgrade bcasue Nati athletics are horrible sans men's basketball. UAM would be better looking at a Big Ten school or elsewhere. He is better off doing his own thing and not always playing follow the leader. Quote
RedSteve Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 Akron is merely a stepping stone and a small one at that. It does not suprise me at all that you are losing all of your qualified individuals to better schools.Brookhart will be gone after next year and zips football will go back to being the dreads of the MAC. Nobody in their right mind would care to come to Akron and coach where nobody cares. The same goes for Dambrot.Got tradition? Quote
ziplock Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 Yeah, I think you are stuck with Shane Montgomery for a while, too. What a relief for us. Oh I know of your football domination with us in the past, but the worm will turn.Go Zips!! Quote

liljc Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 Why do things you hear thru the grapevine always turn out to be true? Will JD be gone after next season? Someone tell me why not. Quote
mrelegazna Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 Why do things you hear thru the grapevine always turn out to be true? Will JD be gone after next season? Someone tell me why not. Mostly because that guy's a troll who's not giving us grapevine info but just talking trash. Anything can happen, but also keep in mind this thread was a month dead before you brought it back. Quote
fear the brown roo Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 at the same time we can't bury our heads in the sand and not see that many people have left and more will follow. it's just the price of being a successful mid-major. :macc: by the way, they are bashing the hell out of MT on the cincy board. they are the biggest bunch of whining A-holes that i've ever seen. i feel sorry for anyone going down there. here's to cincy Quote
UADavid Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 Big time trashing. The favorite insult seems to be calling him a "boot lick" of the University president who they hate even more. Any criticism we have of our people is a compliment by comparison. They are having a serious meltdown. BTW, their only sport team lost yesterday to Syracuse. Quote
