All this does is free things up so that we can put all 3 of our recruits for next year on scholarship. Not a big deal in the long view of things, although I don't know as I like us continuing to over-recruit and then rely on one or two guys at the end of our bench transferring out. Someone did. No biggie, I don't think he fit into our current scheme of things.
Akron1
The writing was on the wall when he refused to go into the game against NC A&T. He was checking in with about 2:20 to play in the game but the action didn't stop until there were 0:46 left. Green went back to the bench and Dambrot asked him to go in and you could read his lips (while shaking his head no) he said, "I'm good." Well, I hate that it would end that way, but the athletes we now have on the team simply run circles around Mr. Green.
zipdiehard
Thanks for the information. What amazes me is that we are at a point that guys are leaving due to lack of playing time. There were times under Rupert and Crawford that I wondered if they would have the floor announcer ask if anyone wanted to play a few minutes. ZachTheZip
According to CBS Sports' Jeff Goodman, Michael Green has transferred to Chaminade. I'll leave it up to Z.I.P. to figure out how this kid ended up on the east side of Honolulu.

BTW, CUH is only a ten minute uphill walk from the UH-Manoa. Kaimuki's the trendy side of town.

There is a federal regulation that any DI transfer named Michael Green must transfer to the Silverswords. http://www.fansonly.com/schools/cham/sport...een_mike00.html
Z.I.P.
There is no mystery here. There is a federal regulation that any DI transfer named Michael Green must transfer to the Silverswords. http://www.fansonly.com/schools/cham/sport...een_mike00.html Regarding Michael, I contacted Eric Bovaird the coach at Chaminade about his transfer. It appears that Akron was Green's only Division I offer out of Dublin Coffman, and had it not been made, MG would have likely ended up playing for Bovaird when he was the assistant coach at West Liberty College in Wheeling. Kind of makes you wonder just what Keith saw in this kid. I look for him to be a good D-II baller who will make a difference with the Swords. Watch for him in the Maui Invitational in 2013.
