akronzips71
Up 14 15:00 to go. We just might need to back in, but I hope not. Let's win it here and now.
zestycoyote
On his live updates, Rasor made a great point. We need to win tonight. If Buffalo beats us, I like their chances against BGSU. That makes the K S U game a must win for us. I don't like those odds.
wadszip
Who cares at this point. They aren't going to Can't and winning. Even if BG beats Buffalo in the finale. The Zips will go to the NIT and lose in the first round. This team hasn't improved at all this season.

akronzips71
Regressed quite a bit at the end of the season. Pathetic. And we just clinched the #2 seed.
GJGood
MAC #2 seed, not winning the conference tourney + struggling as of late = CBI MAC #1 seed, not winning the conference tourney = guaranteed NIT berth If we don't bring home the hardware from Cleveland the above two scenarios are why tonight's game was so important. Unless you'd rather see Akron in the CBI than the NIT, you have to want more than the #2 seed and a just a double bye in Cleveland.

CincyZip
So your confident in the staff & players in the NCAA as a 14 seed? I 100% believe that a first round loss in the NCAA tournament is way, way, way better than a NIT Championship.
taxpayer
I 100% believe that a first round loss in the NCAA tournament is way, way, way better than a NIT Championship. If the world ends in 2 weeks, I'll agree with you because it means we won the MAC tournament. If it doesn't, I'll take the NIT Championship because it will give our underclass players more pressure games to play in plus experience the fishbowl attention such a run would bring. It would be another important building block in this program/teams growth. We are all greedy; we want the regular season championship and the conference championship. By all, I'm including the players and coaches who undoubtedly want the same thing. Hope you are at can't st tonight to support the team in the quest and in Cleveland as well. skip-zip
I 100% believe that a first round loss in the NCAA tournament is way, way, way better than a NIT Championship. Disagree completely. One of them would mean that we won several more games against quality opponents. One of them also means that we had many more appearances on TV, and far more publicity. Going all the way in the NIT would be HUGE for our program.
Dr Z
I 100% believe that a first round loss in the NCAA tournament is way, way, way better than a NIT Championship. This year, I'll take an NIT Championship. Odds of that this year 1:500. We would have to beat 5 quality teams in a row. I would be at MSG for that! Odds making it to the NCAA tournament are about 1:8. We have to beat two MAC teams. What would be the better accomplishment with a young team?
