Class of 82 Posted May 7, 2012 Report Posted May 7, 2012 Tony Rizzo, the Really Big Show, had an interesting conversation with Jim Tressel this morning on WKNR 850 AM. While most of the discussion was about tOSU and JT's new role at UA, he did speak a little about Zips football. A couple of highlights: - He said the Field House is the best facility of it's kind in Ohio. - He really likes and respects Bowden, but he cautioned that it will take more than a couple of years to really turn things around. Sure hope he's wrong about that. I believe WKNR archives their interviews at www.espncleveland.com if anyone missed it. Quote

Zipgrad01 Posted May 7, 2012 Report Posted May 7, 2012 After what I saw at the spring game, I don't think Tressel is that far off. We are seriously devoid of talent. I didn't listen to the interview, but I am sure Tressel's definition of turning it around isn't going 7-5. If it takes Bowden 3 or 4 years to get to 10-2 I can deal with that! If he is talking about winning, building a fan base and creating a culture change around the program, then yeah, it may take more than a few years. Quote

It all depends how you define "turning it around"...winning 3-4 games? A winning season? MAC Championship? Quote
