OU Dude Posted July 13, 2012 Report Share Posted July 13, 2012 OU Dude..while I often times refrain from making comments bc of who I am...I want you to know that there was nothing in your statement that was disrespectful! As a matter of fact, I am in COMPLETE AGREEMENT with what you've said. While Coop may not be my favorite person in the world, I can absolutely respect him when he said "don't call us a cinderella team..we BELONG here". That was such a profound, prolific statement and because of that type of mindset, I believe its the reason why OU were in the Sweet 16! I can do nothing but respect that type of "swag" and mental toughness. Now, what I will say to EVERYONE on this particular thread is...YOU HAVE NNNNOOO IDEA whats about to happen! THAT IS ALL!!! thank you mam, its obvious you've raised a terrific young man and I look forward to seeing him play next year, with the exception of two (maybe 3!) games of coarse. I agree that Cooper and the rest of the Bobkitties have the best winning attitude in the MAC. As talented as the Zips players are, they haven't demonstrated on court the attitude required to make the big breakthrough. The Zips definitely need to work on out-attituding the Kitties. I just don't know how much of OU's attitude came from within the players and how much was cultivated by Groce. We'll see what happens at Illinois and OU now that Groce has moved on. But please don't include me in the EVERYONE who has no idea what's going to happen with Zeke this season. I at least have an inkling. Dave in Green Posted July 13, 2012 Report Share Posted July 13, 2012 When I listen to what people close to Zeke are saying about him, I hear that he has been working hard on his physique, skills and attitude. Everything I hear leads me to believe that he fully understands the importance of his senior season -- to UA, to his teammates and to his own future. I expect to see a stronger, more confident and more aggressive Zeke this season.
