Edit: This is awesome, btw, to see these 3 getting extra practice/game experience together before the Zips' season.

How so? Completely different team playing a completely different system. Ramos' outside backs don't get up anywhere near as much as Porter's.

Regardless of system, I assume that Ramos and Porter each have the other on speed dial.

Certain personnel and position combinations may foretell what Porter intends.

Example: If Serna plays outside MF, that really does not tell us much because that is where he has played most of his young career. However, it will be significant if Serna starts at LB.

How often does Trapp get forward into the offensive third? Or does he play the Holding MF?

Does Koroma drift to one side or the other? Does he wander? Does he remain in the middle?

I understand that perhaps none of this will translate to Akron 2012, but I suspect that at least some of it will.

id go as far to say that i expect koroma and serna to be our best 2 attacking players this year. making the u20 team is a huge deal. these guys will be seasoned beyond their years and wont have that deer in headlights most freshmen get.

remember blair, kitchen, kofi, and zarek? they were on the u20s and did pretty good at akron..

its safe to say im getting excited about the season

Not if Serna plays left back. BTW,I have never seen Koroma play but have heard he is an amazing player. His stats from this past academy season are puzzling though. In 24 games played he scored 6 goals which was number 6 on the team in scoring...don't know what to make of this.
