NewZipsFan
90% of the MAC preview articles have been so bad - the writers and publications should be absolutely embarrassed. When pieces were written in the past week or two, and talk about Clayton Moore returning as the starting QB, I stop reading and email the editor. Either get it right or don't bother writing it. AKSportsFan
Fox Sports SIM Found this nugget that has Akron at #99. There are some "byes" in here so Im not exactly sure what it is rating...
akzipper
Terry Bowden hasn't had a losing season since 1989. While he did start 1-5 in 1998, he stepped down before finishing the season and it's safe to say there were "outside" factors contributing. In his first years at each school he was a combined 34-10 record... ...but this is Akron. We are a very unlucky school, in the most unlucky sports region in the world. I don't think even the best coach in the country could turn us into a winner right away. But I do think Terry can win us more than 2 games. psc2009
Akron's not going to be wowing the nation, but this is better than a one-win team. 3-9 seems realistic, and if things go well, 5-7 next year.
