bigzipguy Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 1.) At Chapel Hill, Virginia and North Carolina are scoreless twenty minutes into the first half. I believe the game is on Fox Soccer channel, which I do not have. 2.) Virginia Tech and Maryland just getting underway in Turtle Land. 3.) Huge match-up late tonight between UCSB and UCLA, hosted by the Gauchos, and also , I believe on Fox Soccer Channel. Quote

bigzipguy Posted September 22, 2012 Author Report Posted September 22, 2012 I do not have Fox Soccer channel, as I stated earlier in this thread. I did however, listen to the match off of the UCSB website. It sounded like a great match, with both teams having numerous opportunities to score. Fox soccer got it's money worth in this regard, probably unlike they felt when both the Zips and Red Storm did not create that many really good opportunities. Quote

Yes -- was a very exciting contant back-and-forth action, as neither team plays an "Akron-style" offense. Was surprised that they only got 7500 into Harder Stadium, as I think they had around 15k when the two faced off in SB two yrs ago. There sure were a lot of tortillas flying -- but most were aimed at the refs! I'd guess a couple thou in the Loco section. One interesting side bar that came up from the FSC announcers: They let out a piece of info I hadn't hear before -- the 2013 men's College Cup will be played in Philadelphia. Philly in December? BRRRRRRRRRR! Quote
