zen Posted October 5, 2012 Report Posted October 5, 2012 lol I may have a fond memory or two on campus, but I would say that the first memories that come to my mind were off campus. LOL. I'll just leave it at that. Hell, I have memories of hopping bars on the zip strip from HS. It's one of the reasons I came to akron. Quote
Wally B Posted October 5, 2012 Report Posted October 5, 2012 When I'm in town I always make a pilgrimage to the Street Treats gyro stand and the Lockview (Bilbo's)! Ironcally, I spotted myself in a picture of the "old-days" outside Bierce Library on the wall of Street Treats downtown location! Quote
Buckzip Posted October 5, 2012 Report Posted October 5, 2012 Splash, Sun and Townhouse. Those are my memories. Quote
Class of 82 Posted October 5, 2012 Report Posted October 5, 2012 Splash, Sun and Townhouse. Those are my memories. The Sun was my favorite near-campus spot in the late 70s, early 80s. We used to shoot pool and drink a little brew there on afternoons after classes. Quote
K92 Posted October 5, 2012 Report Posted October 5, 2012 I remember buying Wiedemann stubbies at the Zip Mart. Quote
Dr Z Posted November 20, 2012 Author Report Posted November 20, 2012 James better be wearing his Roo Vest!?! The 2002 Ohio State national championship team will be honored on the field during Saturday's game with Michigan, with a huge number of former Buckeyes expected to turn out for the occasion. And the 2012 Buckeyes, most of whom were recruited and coached by Tressel and many of whom still stay in touch with the old coach, are looking forward to it as well. Tressel has indicated his intentions to be part of the reunion. I hope they invite that ref that made the call. Quote
Dr Z Posted November 25, 2012 Author Report Posted November 25, 2012 I saw "Mr Zip" on national TV yesterday. Missed marketing opportunity by James. Throw us a bone buddy. Quote
