Dave in Green Posted October 31, 2012 Report Posted October 31, 2012 ND's RPI benefits greatly from the Big East's average conference RPI. Note that 4 of the top 8 and 10 of the top 43 teams in RPI are from the Big East. The Big East puts a high priority on soccer. Quote
bobbyake Posted October 31, 2012 Report Posted October 31, 2012 The Atlantic 10 could send 3-4 teams to the tournament this year. I do not understand why the MAC can't replicate their success in basketball and soccer. Quote

GoZips Posted October 31, 2012 Report Posted October 31, 2012 Before getting all jacked out of shape by anyone's RPI consider looking at their home/away results. Notre Dame wins ten at home, but goes 3-3-1 on the road. Review the others. Akron compares favorably. The Zips need to take care of their own business; especially a hot Michigan State team on the road. Win out and there will be a top four seed for the Zips assuring them of home field up to the College Cup. Go Zips ... !!!! Quote

Aaron Posted October 31, 2012 Report Posted October 31, 2012 At this point, I am just hoping that the NCAA will not award two #1 seeds to the same conference. The Big East has dominated RPI and the ACC has dominated the polls, so if there's going to be upsets in the conference tournaments, I hope they happen early and knock a top team out of contention quickly. Otherwise, I could see us getting left as a #5, behind Maryland, Notre Dame, UCLA, and a Big East/ACC tourney champion (Gtown?, UConn?, Lville?) Quote
plowerman78 Posted October 31, 2012 Report Posted October 31, 2012 we win out, we have a top 4 seed Quote
