TennZip
I have been in car all day driving back from visiting my father. I tried to listen to 1350 on my computer in the car...but they had lots of problems did Reinaldo play at all this weekend....will he able to play next weekend? is everyone else healthy? for those that were at the game, how did the zips look? always tough to beat the rugged, physical NIU team

I love him, but Schmitt is most effective off the bench. Abdul-Salaam subbed in at about 60 minutes. (Verify that statistic.) But what really got things flowing was Quinn, who had begun at MF, subbed in at CF, where he has not seen time since last season. Things just starting happening. Porter just knows who to plug where. We scored two quick goals. Abdul-Salaam's goal was a thing of beauty. This kid will be special.

Akron looked excellent the entire game, dominating possession and shots. Meves had to make maybe one save. As far as I know everyone else is healthy. icchamp1
Reinaldo played for about 10 minutes on Friday night. Per the ABJ recap "Porter said junior Reinaldo Brenes and freshman Alfred Koroma missed the match due to a muscle pull and the flu, respectively. He is “optimistic” the forwards will return in the NCAA Tournament."

RootforRoo44
Any updates on these 2 players? Koroma is still feeling under the weather. Yeah, he's been pretty sick. Brenes I'm not sure about. EDIT: Brenes is doing better and should be able to practice tomorrow or Friday in preparation for the game. It's by no means 100%, but his chances for playing Sunday look very good.

RootforRoo44
Is Brenes going to play again this season? Is Koroma? Word is he had a bit of a setback late last week. I don't think anyone knows anymore. Koroma on the other hand is done.

TheTank123
How do you mean done? For the season? With the Flu?!?!? Didn't Porter say he was hospitalized? He must have more than just the flu. Frankly, I don't know how much of a loss it is. In Alfred's last couple of games he looked...lethargic. I'm more worried about getting Brenes back out there.
