This is from a USA today article 11/26/12...........PLAYER OF THE YEAR: QB Dalton Williams -- Passed the torch to Kyle Pohl after two series in the regular-season finale at Toledo. Williams brought life to an anemic offense with his leadership, knowledge of the spread and passing ability. He finished with 3,387 yards passing and 25 touchdowns -- a school-record for a season. Williams revitalized the program after a blowout opening week loss with numerous big performances. It's just too bad that he exhausted his eligibility. For a player without any starting experience until this year, Williams gave the rebuilding project at Akron a nice jumpstart

RECRUITING TRAIL: The Zips have six oral commitments, but remain in the hunt for several talented three and four-star players.

I said it last year, how can you lack so much ability at QB when you just have to get the ball near Suel for him to catch it. I hope he gets a shot in somebody's camp next summer.

PRO PROSPECTS:

WR Marquelo Suel -- He has good speed, but lacking in height at 6-foot-1. Suel was a productive player with a one-win team, leading the Zips in receptions and receiving yards. His numbers merit attention alone.
