bigzipguy Posted December 1, 2012 Report Posted December 1, 2012 Hoosiers go to Chapel Hill and beat Heels 1-0. I listened to game off the Heel website, sounded like a clear foul by Indiana in the box that was not called. Quote

Michigan and Michigan State owned them when they met in the Big Ten. Quote
fknbuflobo Posted December 1, 2012 Report Posted December 1, 2012 Regular season play differs slightly from the post season slug fest. Quote
bigzipguy Posted December 1, 2012 Author Report Posted December 1, 2012 As the regular season moved along in college soccer, I felt as though there were no 4 or 5 teams that were clearly head and shoulders above the rest. In the NCAA'S : Notre Dame, playing at home - gone. Akron , playing at home - gone. UCLA, playing at home - gone. N. Carolina , playing at home - gone. Quote
TennZip Posted December 1, 2012 Report Posted December 1, 2012 Georgetown advances to the final four with a 3-1 win over San Diego Quote
TennZip Posted December 2, 2012 Report Posted December 2, 2012 Maryland crushed Louisville 3-1 16-5 advantage in shots... rooting like crazy for Creighton tomorrow so there are not 2 big east teams in final four Quote
bigzipguy Posted December 2, 2012 Author Report Posted December 2, 2012 With 1:30 to go, Blue Jays score , up 1-0. Quote

UAZipster0305 Posted December 2, 2012 Report Posted December 2, 2012 We should be on our way to Hoover!!!!! A week later and I am still bitter about losing to Creighton. There is some small justice in knowing that UConn is out though. Amazing to me that the only remaining team worthy in the discussion about being the best team in the country is Maryland. ND, Akron, and UNC are all gone. Meanwhile inferior teams like IU and Creighton are in the Final Four. Quite unfortunate, but this is why the games are played. To me, experiences like this make our 2010 season and tournament run that much more impressive. Quote

To me, experiences like this make our 2010 season and tournament run that much more impressive. Creighton was better than a #12 team...they were 8 in final coaches ranking...and connecticut was 7 in final coaches ranking but the seeding committee does not like non major conferences...so CT jumped to 4...and Creighton dropped to 12... Creighton was 11 in RPI...and Louisville was 13...but Louisville was seeded 10 and Creighton was #12 Louisville should not have been seeded higher than Creighton.... I don't classify Creighton as an inferior team. Indiana was awful in the last 3 weeks of the season but has turned it up in the tourney. UNC was not an elite team this year...they had strong defense....but they really struggled to score I am predicting a Maryland vs. Creighton final Quote

This year I had the opportunity to watch all teams making it to the Final 8. Of all the teams I watched this year, and I watched at least 20 of the top 30, Maryland is the only one that scared me. We would have given the Terps a better run for their money than Bluejays will. Quote
Z.I.P. Posted December 4, 2012 Report Posted December 4, 2012 Indiana...is Indiana! I hate to see them get back to a Final Four (especially at the time of our coaching transition). However, the name "Yeagley" on the roster may be what brings them back to immortality. I will be rooting for a semifinal loss, and you should too! Quote
