fknbuflobo
DeAndre Yedlin scores Sounders' first goal in 2013 vs Tigres. Holy Cow! I cannot believe the quality of Yedlin's score! I doubt he ever shot the ball like that for Akron. Seriously. Wow! What a goal!

What a goal! It was an absolutely AWESOME goal , and the Sounders make it through to the semi-finals with 3-1 victory. Aggregate 3-2. Edit: DeAndre's goal between 3:00 - 3:
fknbuflobo
Four former Zips participated in Timbers @ Sounders (five if you count CP). Even more intriguing that they were matched up head to head. Zemanski vs. Zakuani and Nagbe vs. Yedlin. Could a team comprised entirely of former Zips win an MLS championship? ap95@zips.uakron.edu
In other News, Scotty played the full 90 for the Revolution's last two games Chad Barson went for 90 on the bench for crew vs. DC and San Jose. Chad went for 90 in a reserve win over Chicago. Will came on as a sub in the 61st Half a Zip, but Ben Speas scored his first goal for the crew Darren scored for Vancouver, and shouda set up another. Crew8
Ughh Impact Working Loan for Zarek Valentin to fk bodo/glimt Tough break for Zarek, at least he's getting quality playing time, which is much needed. Montreal defense has been stellar in the first month of MLS. Is Josh Gatt still playing in the Norwegian league? same age I think. USA vs Mexico tonight........intense and wow! 1-23-2 overall record on Mexico soil. I will take the point. My hero is Guzan.

bobbyake
I'm putting together stats for this year and discovered that Meves was never signed by Portland. Portland has the rights to sign him, but he's currently a non-roster player. Trialists and Guest Players David Meves is currently the team's lone non-roster player. Zip_ME87
Ughh Impact Working Loan for Zarek Valentin to fk bodo/glimt VALENTIN OPTIMISTIC FOR PROMOTION Valentin's loan to Bodo/Glimt is for 2013 and it also happens to be the final year of his contract. He doesn't know what lies beyond this year but he is open to the idea of staying in Norway; especially if the club earns promotion to the Tippeligaen next year. Perhaps Zarek can join the Porterland Timbers next season.

ap95@zips.uakron.edu
More like Zips Not active in the Pro's 2013. Blair Gavin and Luke Holmes appear to be no longer active. the last club Luke was listed for, Wilmington Hammerheads, no longer have him on their roster. Blair Gavin was traded to New England from Chivas last year, and his contract was not renewed, and was not signed as a Free Agent. His Twitter, for what it's worth still has New England Revolution logos all over it. Yoram Mawilla, who was a letterman for us in 2009, and transfered to for 2010, VCU died over the summer in a car accident. Nanchoff has yet to play for the Timbers, but has scored three reserve-leauge goals.
johnnyzip84
In perhaps his most meaningful minutes as a pro, Evan Bush keeps a clean sheet as the Montreal Impact blasts Toronto FC 6-0 in the 2nd leg of their Canadian Championship matchup, with the Impact winning 6-2 on aggregate. I am especially happy for Evan, as he also played in the 2-0 TFC victory in the 1st leg. The Impact are starting off this season in unbelievable form. Zip_ME87
http://www.thecrew.com/news/2013/05/crew-r...p-red-bulls-2-0 It was great to see Chad, Wil, Ben Speas, and future Zip Adam Najem at Crew Stadium yesterday in a reserve game. ...After halftime, Ben Speas added a second tally for Columbus, putting Chad Barson's endline service into the back of the net to make it 2-0. ... I know I'm biased, but I've watched enough good soccer to know that from what I saw in the first team's 1-0 loss to the NYRB, Chad and Wil should be playing with the 1st team. Zip_ME87
Yedlin Saw Red vs. Philly on Saturday. Also, Kofi Sarkodie is near the leauge lead with three assists Perhaps if DeAndre hadn't cut his hair, he wouldn't have seen red. Not superstitious apparently. It's okay, though. Just a minor bump in the road, but no DeA and no Steve Zakuani (Lamrar Neagle, Shalrie Joseph, and Obafemi Martins) is going to make it very difficult vs SKC. Crew8
Warzycha turns to youth with O'Rourke out against Rapids An opportunity for Wil Trapp to get his MLS debut this Saturday. Hoping Warzycha makes the right decision and not choosing his son. Trapp and Sanchez are the two best choices.

Hoping Warzycha makes the right decision and not choosing his son. Trapp and Sanchez are the two best choices. Has Wil even made the 18 for a first team match? I don't think so, which is too bad because we all know how good he is. Of course Warzycha is going to pick his son though.

However, Warzycha subbed in his son over trapp. That being said, a 2-0 loss is hardly the right time to sub in a defenssive midfielder
Z.I.P.
Darren Mattocks scored his second goal of the season for the Whitecaps, in injury time, putting away the dastardly Galaxy 3-1 in Vancouver Saturday evening. After being stopped by goalie Carlo Cudacini on a breakaway, Darren got the ball on the ensuing corner kick and as skinny as he is, manhandled Galaxy defender Omar Gonzalez three yards from the right post, turning him and putting the ball past Gonzalez and a helpless Cudacini in net.
