Quickzips
Take note that the "bench" scored 34 of the 68 total points. They managed this in five less floor minutes than the "starters". This team is better and more scary than most realize. It is only going to get better. The most encouraging thing about that. Our bench (right now): Betancourt - Freshman Ibitayo - Sophomore McAdams - Freshman Kretzer - Freshman Forsythe - Freshman While this team is very good this year, the future is also very bright. Especially when you consider we also still have two more years of Tree and Harney. Another year of Abreu. Plus we bring in a talented class of recruits with Evans, Jackson, Gladden, Cheatham and Johnson next year.

That was the best part about yesterday's game. Much better operation than the one Akron runs when it comes to the streams. Half the Akron ones, you're lucky to see 1/4 of the game due to the constant lagging. I had to give up on the Coppin State stream midway through due to that reason. I saw about 3 actual minutes of the first half. Though that may be the school's ploy to get people to the JAR.

I know that one of the mods does not like it when I post about the feed, but hey, it is the only way that some of us can watch our zips. I have been using an Android table to throw it onto the TV over HDMI, since the TV gives a much better view than a computer screen. I notice that when I click "full screen" on the home game feeds, I have to adjust the TV down to 4:3 aspect. The feed yesterday was a true wide screen picture, although not HD (there was one that was HD, on ESPN360 I think). It made watching very nice indeed. The announcers were pretty bad, and just as partisan as Frenchie! But it was a good watching experience, even better because the Zips won going away! I'm with you on having to rely more on the streams. Usually, I've been able to get to more than half the games in years past. This year, I've made it to two, and may only be able to make it to two more (Ohio and Can't, only because I'm using personal time off those days) due to a change of work schedule. It's frustrating to have to rely on such a bad product. Usually, I fight through the lagging and the humming noises. But there are games like Coppin State where it is just unbearable (and it helped that it was a blowout). It's not like I'd rather be watching on a stream (especially this year), but it's the only way I can see this team on most nights. Hopefully, the university takes into consideration that there are die-hards that are forced to rely on the stream, and they put in the effort into upgrading that product. Since I took the suggestion from Capt K I think and emailed the AD on the link he provided, we have gotten sound, although it does have some issues. I also send a request to move the score strip to the bottom of the screen as it interferes with the action, they have not done that yet. It is light years ahead of when we had to pay for it and it never worked, but there is still a lot of room for improvement. Now that we are into the MAC season, I am really into it! akzipper
"If NIU would have made that shot the roof would have come off this place" Not sure if anyone noticed but there were only 977 fans at this game
johnnyzip84
I knew Reggie had an awesome offensive, breakout against NIU, but I never realized it was THIS GOOD! That's approaching Jonas' early season scoring average of 240 pts/game
