MRasor0200
Good question. This is pure speculation, but... Getsy, Kennedy, Z. Anderson, N. Robinson, K. Gonzalez, S. Hakes, I. Iveljic.Maybe also on D. Harvey, Arthur and B. Anderson.I'm not saying these guys are all draft picks, but they all could find a place playing on Sundays. Captain Kangaroo
I spoke to someone "in the know" at the spring game who said Andy Alleman will be playing NFL football in 2 years.
flipthezip
If the trend continues in the NFL for big TE's, with good hands, who can get down field, I'll put Kasparek at the top of my list.On the defense, I would definately go with Kiki. joshgozips
If you were at the Spring Football game last Saturday, you saw a MOUNTAIN of a man named Jason Sekinger - the transfer offensive lineman from Minnesota. He is a LEGIT 6'9", 340 behemoth. He without question literally stands heads and shoulders above anyone on the Zips roster. When is eligible to join the Zips as a starter in the fall of 2007, he will have three years of eligibilty remaining. No doubt, he will hone his skills at the Bowl and I am sure that we will see him somewhere in the NFL after his Zips career is over.
Balki Bartokomous
He is a LEGIT 6'9", 340 behemoth. Perhaps Dambrot should look into making him a Center. At 6'9" 340, he would make kents 7 footer, his bitch.
LosAngelesZipFan
I thought Kasparek played great in the MCCC-- hope he gets featured more this year. Not fast but big target, reliable hands. Hitting him consitently would really open things up for the rest of the offense.
gozips19
ok i started the thread so i guess its time to add my two cents... guys that will make a roster for sure andy alleman and nate robinson... the nfl looks at size and they have plentyguys that should make a roster getsy, aurther, kiki, stokes, kasaperik ..... the list here all lack a little something but either have size or speed working for them... as for getsy the man is smart and will be a good back up in the prosguys that have the potential to make a roster cruz, sekinger, harvey, anderson, bates, stoutomire, igor, jackson.... all of these guys have the make up to land on a roster as long as they continue to develop and stay away from any major injuries if i'd had to pick one guy to be the lock in this list i'd take anderson he will be a beast! others that are starters you could make a case for would be kennedy crouch, and brandon anderson.... kennedy seems a little too slow same with crouch (although dean got a shot) and anderson is a little on the small side but has 3 years to gain weightthe best part about this topic is that 7-10 years ago the list would start and end every year with 1-2 guys.. the talent is in place now its time to take this to the next level! #1 rowdy
One guy everyone is forgetting about is Kevin Grant. He would be a great fit into a team running a 3/4 since he is a linebacker that can play from the defensive end spot or cover down field.. With his size and speed I think he is a lock for the pros. Also Jarbari Arthur has a chance to be the best athlete to ever come out of akron. With another 2 good years he could be the highest ever draft pick from Akron. Zips4life
Nate Robinson will have to make the Akron roster before he thinks about the NFL. From what I've heard he's one of the laziest athletes in the country. Not to be a downer about a guy everyone's excited for, but there's a reason he doesn't stick anywhere he goes.I'd say the only guys on the Zips roster right now that will have NFL careers are Alleman and Arthur because they have the two things that get you to the NFL and sustain you there. Talent AND a work ethic. You'll never make it in the NFL out of a place like Akron unless you have BOTH.
