They fact that he WANTS to stay at Akron should not be held against him! It should be rewarded! UA should be making a commitment to keep him in the top 3 or 4 of MAC coaches and lay out a long term staying bonus. Any news on this? Finding an assistant AD and women's BB coach, 2. Locking up JB and KD to long term deals, and 3. A new football stadium.I would think you would like to get a coach hired before the end of the semester and the current players scatter for the summer. I hope UA doesn't take advantage of that thinking they've got him "locked" so why not get him cheaply. I heard KD was the lowest paid coach in the MAC. I would really like to see the numbers. Hard to believe that a deal has been struck and nothing has been released by Akron's sports news office. Must be some kink in the deal. They also need to do this in a way that they both are happy-- UA doesn't need a repeat of Huggins vs Faust.
