Actually, KD coached at CMU in the 90's for a little while. He was doing fine there, but due to some locker room talk he lost his job. He is and will be a good coach for us for many years.Don' forget KD was also HC at Tiffin and was also a very successful HC at Ashland.

Same thing happened to a friend of mine. Tried all week to buy tickets. He finally called and found out that the ticket office would only be open on Friday. And we wonder why we can't get people to games!!!!! C'mon UA - get your act together!!!!

Captain, you obviously love our football program and are not a dambrot fan. I have read your posts. I will argue that is much harder to do what we have done in hoop. 14 and 4 in the mac last year and a road post season win.. .Even huggins never won a post season game. why get on kd for wanting a great program. and furthermore kd 49-21and jd 19-19. you judge them on a different grading scale. do you want him to be satisfied with 3300. you obviously dont know him well.you should be thrilled we have someone who wants a great program. Quit making excuses. I have watched this D1 program since the beginning and we are on the verge of three great seasons in a row after years of being horrible. Other than huggins and kd only 4 winning seasons. tear kd down and keep bragging about jds recruiting classes.

I remember "talk" of this last year. And now, I am beginning to get a little nervous about it this year. I think we may end up having dismal crowds this season, while we SHOULD BE getting pumped up!I have yet to see a basketball billboard around town. No excitement being built up in the newspapers. Why didn't we have a Midnight Madness or Halloween Hoops??? Is the community even aware that we are expecting great things from AU hoops this year?I have 3 grandkids that look forward to every home game. They can tell you the stats on every player. Zippy should be visiting classrooms promoting Zips athletics. Let's get the school kids excited which will then bring more families to games for a great evening close to home!C'mon AU Marketing. It can't be done without YOU. Let's fill the JAR and give this team the kind of support that it needs to be successful in every way!Just my .02

I would really hope that they give KD a great deal. You hit the nail on the head when you said "KD WANTS to be here". I hope UA doesn't take advantage of that thinking they've got him "locked" so why not get him cheaply. I heard KD was the lowest paid coach in the MAC. I would really like to see the numbers. UA finally has a great thing going, I hope they do what it takes to keep KD here for a long time.
