skip-zip
Keener.....The Townhouse used to have QUARTER beer night. It was Lonestar out of a keg. Those were some wild nights. That was back in the early 80s. Hilltopper....Didn't I read somewhere that "Hilltoppers" was actually a possible nickname when "Zippers" was chosen? I thought maybe I was exaggerating the good old days in my mind like my Dad used to. I got that mug in '86, so I am now sure it was a quarter and it was definitely draft Blatz.Good times. Dave in Green
Back in the day when I was a proud member of the U.S. military protecting all you sissies from the threat of communism, we could buy a carton of cigarettes in the PX for $1. That's right, 10 cents a pack. Looking at the overall picture, I would not be at all interested in going back to those good old days. ziptrumpet87
A reworked article posted today with some geographical errors (Columbus is west of Akron?) reminds us of when UA had good press. They say that this book was their source.

skip-zip
I know the younger generation does not pick up maps anymore, but a close examination would definitely show that Cowlumbus is SW of Akron. So, you can take your pick. But if you asked most people on the street who don't know geography, they just assume that it's South because they know that it's in a lower part of the state.
