Everyone who reads this GT story is going to have a slightly different perspective. In my case, through a series of situations in my life, I was able to experience firsthand more of a hint than the average white person of the unique obstacles black people face in trying to lead normal lives. I lived through some humbling experiences more than 40 years ago that helped define who I am to this day, and gave me an appreciation for how difficult it is to judge those who walk in different moccasins. Anyone who doesn't understand the profound difference between a house and a field is going to have a hard time understanding all the dynamics going on here.
